I am exchanging my second Jess doll for another Jess.

It may seem tiny, but she had the strangest problem.

Near the top of her arm, she had a black dot in the vinyl- Not a big black dot, just a dot- but a very visible dot. When you felt over it, it was raised and had a slight metallic look to it?

I scratched over it with my fingernail, and part of it broke away, like a splinter! I used a pin to gently lift the other part out of her arm. The pin did not damage the doll, but after this thing was out of her arm, it just left a little pin hole looking place where the splinter had been removed, and it is dark and stained black inside the little hole. It looks like someone stuck the very tiny end of a very sharp pencil in her arm, and broke off the very tip of the led?

I know I am not describing this right, lol. The point is, even after I removed her "splinter" she has a visible, black pin hole looking mark on her arm.

Anyone else ever had a doll with a splinter?

Wow, that's strange. Sounds like she needs the new AG bandages to cover up the wound. Yeah, I'd probably return the doll too if I were you. Whatever was in the arm might discolor the vinyl over time.

Bandages! lol! It never occured to me, but you are right.

I hate to exchange her, I really do. I get attached to my dolls rather quickly. But I just really do not want to tolerate this spot on a brand new doll.

It had not even occured to me about discoloration over time, but I suppose if it was some kind of metal residue it could cause a green ear effect over time.

The spot is really small, but it just really bothers me a lot.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I was LOL about the bandages too. Instead of asking for another doll; why don't you ask AG to do an arm replacement. Let them know how you get attached to the doll(s). I know I get attached to then right away too. They are such wonderful, huggable, and kissable dollies! (KISS KISS [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] )
